With all this rain in the UK, it’s not exactly feeling like summer. However if you have got an exotic beach holiday coming up, you might want to add this M&S beach shirt to your packing list.

Marks and Spencer’s shoppers have been gushing over a £25 cotton beach shirt and it’s the perfect cover up for when you’re lounging by the poolside or on the beach. And it comes in 9 different colours, so you can buy more than one.

The Pure Cotton Collarless Beach Cover Up Shirt almost has 100 reviews online and it comes in sizes ranging from small to extra large.

The product description reads: “Crafted from pure cotton, this breezy beach cover-up shirt brings effortless elegance to your holiday wardrobe. Cut in a regular fit, the stylish collarless design features a round neck and a button-through front. Side splits in the longline hem allow easy movement, while the chest pocket adds a neat finish.”

So far it's amassed 70 reviews with a 5* approval rating. One person who left a glowing comment said: “Beautiful top flowing gorgeous feels & looks so stylish. Highly recommend.”

Another typed: “This was an impulse purchase for my holiday and it became my most worn piece of clothing. So versatile, I wore it in the evenings over shorts and top and during the day over a swimsuit.”

A third commented: “Bought this lovely cover up to compliment a bikini for my daughters birthday. She had to exchange it as it was dabbed but the process was simple and she's very happy with the present.”

However, not everyone was completely happy with the linen shirt. One unhappy buyer said: “I bought two of these in the chambray and white. Very poor quality, flimsy and overpriced. Returned for a full refund. Disappointing.”

A second said: “Very disappointed with the material. It was thin, very creasable and not worth £25 and that was when it was newly delivered. What it would be like after getting wet and/or washed??”
